Devotion: Day 3

Day 3: Flee—Don't Negotiate

Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:18; 1 Corinthians 10:14; 2 Timothy 2:22

Devotional: The biblical theology is beautifully blunt: God doesn't recommend therapy sessions with temptation. He says flee. The Greek word "pheugo" means to escape urgently, to vanish—like evacuating a burning structure. Joseph understood this before Paul wrote it. When Potiphar's wife grabbed his coat, he didn't hold a seminar on emotional intelligence—he left his jacket and saved his destiny. He chose freedom over fabric, integrity over impulse, purpose over pleasure. Some victories require conversation; others require sneakers. Running from sin isn't weakness—it's wisdom. It takes humility to admit the car is unsafe, courage to unbuckle, and faith to believe life outside the vehicle is better than pleasure inside it. What sin do you need to physically, emotionally, or spiritually run from today?
