Devotion: Day 1
Day 1: The Second Chance
Reading: Jonah 3:1-5
Devotional: God's word came to Jonah a second time. Like Jonah, we often need multiple opportunities to obey God's calling. Perhaps you've heard God's voice directing you toward a specific ministry, relationship restoration, or life change, but fear or stubbornness has held you back. Today, recognize that God's grace extends beyond our first failure. He doesn't discard us when we run the opposite direction; instead, He pursues us with patient love. The Ninevites responded immediately when given their chance—they didn't negotiate or delay. What second chance is God offering you today? Will you respond with immediate obedience, or will you need to spend time in your own "belly of the fish" before surrendering?
Reflection Question: What assignment from God have you been avoiding, and what would immediate obedience look like today?
