Day 3: Asking According to His Will
Reading: 1 John 5:14-15; Matthew 6:9-13
Devotional: "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." Prayer requires both boldness and surrender. The Lord's Prayer teaches us to pray "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done"—not my agenda, but God's purpose. For one hundred years, Black prayer in America has shifted from mere survival to transformation, from "get me out" to "send me back changed." Are you asking God for things that align with His kingdom purposes? Today, audit your prayer requests. Ask God to purify your motives and align your desires with His will. Pray with confidence, knowing that when your heart beats with His purposes, He hears and answers.
