Day 2: Born Again and Compelled to Share

Reading: John 3:1-17

Jesus meets Nicodemus privately and teaches him that entering the kingdom of God requires a spiritual rebirth — a transformation that goes far deeper than religious tradition or intellectual knowledge.

Devotional:

Nicodemus came to Jesus at night, perhaps out of caution, perhaps out of curiosity. But Jesus did not turn him away. He sat with him, taught him, and opened his eyes to a truth that would change everything: you must be born again. This is not a religious phrase to be repeated casually. It is a declaration of complete transformation. The sermon reminds us that when we become born again, one of the first things we want to do is share the word of God with somebody. New life produces an urgency to tell others. Just as the lifesavers were passed from hand to hand in that congregation, the message of new birth is meant to travel.

Personal Reflection: When you think about your own new birth in Christ, how fresh does that experience still feel to you? Has familiarity dulled your urgency to share it?

Practical Application: Identify one person in your life who does not yet know Christ. Pray for them by name today and ask God to open a door for a genuine conversation about what it means to be born again.
