Day 2: Devotion
Day 2: The Shepherd Who Searches
Reading: Luke 15:3-7
Devotional: Jesus did not tell a story about a shepherd who sat down and hoped his sheep would find their way back. He told a story about a shepherd who left the ninety-nine and went looking. That is the heart of God toward every lost person. Luke 15:4 describes a pursuit that does not stop until the lost is found. You were not discovered by accident. God came looking for you specifically, intentionally, and relentlessly. If you know someone who has drifted away, remember that the same shepherd who found you is still searching for them. His love does not expire with distance.
Personal Reflection: Can you remember the moment or season when God came looking for you?
Practical Application: Reach out to one person this week who has drifted from faith. A simple, sincere message of care can be the shepherd's voice reaching through you.
