Devotional: Day 4
Before Jesus entered the wilderness, the Father publicly declared, "Thou art my beloved Son."
Satan immediately questioned that identity by saying, "If thou be the Son of God..."
Notice the contrast.
God declared.
Satan questioned.
The enemy still attacks identity today. He whispers, "Are you really forgiven?" "Does God really love you?" "Do you really matter?"
Jesus refused to prove what the Father had already established.
Our identity is rooted in God's truth, not public opinion or personal achievement.
