Day 1: God Sees What You Cannot See About Yourself:

Reading: Judges 6:11-16

In this passage, God addresses Gideon as a mighty man of valor while Gideon is hiding in a wine press, concealing wheat from his oppressors.

Devotional: You may be hiding in your own wine press today, convinced that your circumstances define your capacity. Gideon was the least in his household, from an insignificant family, yet God addressed him according to divine vision rather than human limitation. God does not call you according to what you have been through. He calls you according to what he has already placed inside of you. Before you accept the label that fear or failure has given you, pause and ask God how he sees you. His answer will always exceed your own assessment.

Personal Reflection: In what area of your life are you allowing your circumstances to define your identity rather than allowing God's word to define it?

Practical Application: Write down one negative label you have accepted about yourself. Then find one scripture that directly contradicts that label and speak it aloud each morning this week.
