Belief is the beginning, not the destination. James reminds us that even demons believe and tremble, yet they remain unchanged. True discipleship requires more than intellectual acknowledgment—it demands abiding in Christ's word. When Jesus says, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples," He invites us into a deeper relationship than mere agreement. Abiding means dwelling, remaining, and staying anchored in His presence. It transforms knowledge into relationship and belief into transformation. Today, ask yourself: Am I simply believing, or am I abiding? The difference determines whether we experience true freedom or remain bound by sin and shame despite our knowledge of truth.
