Devotion: Day 5
Day 5: Humility: The Path to Exaltation
Reading: James 4:6-10; Philippians 2:5-11
Devotional: Jesus, though equal with God, humbled Himself to the point of death. This is our model. Pride says, "Look at what I've accomplished." Humility says, "Look at what God has done through me." Pride seeks the spotlight; humility seeks obedience. Pride avoids weakness; humility embraces dependence on God. The pathway to true promotion isn't climbing higher—it's kneeling lower. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. When you humble yourself, God promises to lift you up in His time. Stop promoting yourself and let God do the exalting. Die to your agenda daily. Surrender control. Trust His process. The manger before the throne—that's always God's way.
