Devotion: Day 3

Day 3: Your Mission Isn't Over

Reading: 1 Kings 19:14-18; Romans 11:29

Devotional: After rest and encounter, God gave Elijah new assignments: anoint kings, appoint a successor, influence nations. God believed Elijah was ready before Elijah believed it himself. When discouragement whispers, "You're done," God declares, "Your story isn't over." The gifts and callings of God are without repentance—He doesn't change His mind about your assignment. Elijah thought he was alone, but God revealed 7,000 faithful servants he didn't know existed. You may feel isolated in your struggle, but you're part of a larger kingdom movement. Your calling flows from your identity, and your identity is rooted in Christ. Even when you don't feel qualified—especially then—God equips those He calls. The question remains: "What are you doing here?" Return to your assignment. The kingdom still needs your voice.

Reflection: What God-given assignment have you abandoned due to discouragement? Ask God to renew your sense of purpose today.
