Devotion: Day 4
Day 4: Walking in the Spirit, Not the Flesh
Reading: Galatians 5:16-26; Romans 8:5-14
Devotional: The battle between flesh and spirit is constant. Jealousy, envy, and strife are works of the flesh that restrict our spiritual flow like a kinked water hose. When we feed our fleshly nature through comparison, gossip, and self-centeredness, we cannot experience the abundant life God offers. But when we walk in the Spirit—renewing our minds daily through God's Word, worship, and obedience—we produce love, joy, peace, and gratitude. Sanctification is a process. You may have lived a certain way for years, but God can restore you. When you fail, look in the mirror with honest self-reflection rather than blaming others. Keep fighting through, keep looking upward, and keep feeding your spirit.
Reflection Question: Am I feeding my spirit or my flesh today through my choices and focus?
