Devotion: Day 5
Day 5: The Purifying Love of Christ
Reading: 1 John 1:7-9 Devotional: God's love for us is purifying. Through Christ's sacrifice, we're cleansed from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins. This passage reminds us of the ongoing nature of this cleansing - we're called to walk in the light and continually bring our shortcomings before God. Is there anything you need to confess to God today? Remember, His forgiveness is not based on your perfection, but on His perfect love. As you confess, picture yourself being washed clean by the "fountain filled with blood," as the old hymn says. Thank God for His endless mercy and the freedom found in His forgiveness.
