Devotion: Day 2

Day 2: From Sorrow to Song—Hannah's Transformation

Reading: 1 Samuel 1:9-20

Devotional: Hannah carried sorrow like a stone in her chest. Year after year, she wept, tormented by disappointment and crushed by unfulfilled longing. But in the temple, with tears pouring and lips trembling, she poured her emotions before God—every ache, every longing, every silent cry. Scripture says "her face was no longer sad." God didn't just give her a child; He sanctified her sorrow. He transformed agony into anthem. Hannah's story teaches us that when you pour your emotions out to God, God pours His peace into you. You don't have to carry that stone anymore. Whatever grief, disappointment, or heartache you're bearing, bring it to God's altar. He specializes in turning emptiness into fullness, bitterness into blessing, and grief into legacy.

Reflection Question: What sorrow am I holding that I need to pour out before God?
